I don't think so.
IMO The most likely scenario is that Markstrom is moved in the offseason... if that's the case then the Flames will keep Vlader and sign another veteran as a stopgap starter. Vlader and Wolf will then compete for the back-up spot and even if Vlader loses that spot I wouldn't bet on him being claimed on his way to the Wranglers or both Goalies being healthy all season.
Or the Flames will keep Vlader and roll with a Vlader/Wolf tandem.
Either way we haven't seen the last of him.

If Markstrom is moved, the team needs to bring in a starting goalie to platoon with Wolf. A Vladar-Wolf tandem would be bottom-3 in the league. Nothing from Conroy to date suggests he's committed to that kind of tank.

Why? No one would be profiting off of it... if anything in that situation the House of Mouse ought to be pleased that they're getting free "product placement" in the Canadian market.

I believe the only thing they ever had an issue with was the Flyers goalie a few years ago who had Yoda carrying an orange lightsaber on his mask. They made him repaint the blade green, but otherwise didn't have an issue with Yoda on the mask.

Seems like a nagging injury, would have probably waited if the team was in a better spot. Now they don't have to use a recall on Wolf.

Yes, he was with the Wranglers at the trade deadline.
Coronato and Pelletier are both also eligible because they were sent down then immediately recalled at the deadline.

If Vladar is out for the season why is Wolf ‘emergency back-up’? Wouldn’t he need to be on the bench as regular back-up? I might just be misunderstanding the terminology…. Maybe something to do with them wanting Wolf to play for the wranglers?

Yeah, it's a misunderstanding of the terminology. He's not the emergency backup, he's on a emergency recall.
Basically, after the deadline, teams can only make 4 "regular" recalls from the AHL, but they can make unlimited "emergency" recalls. To qualify as an emergency recall, the team must be in a situation where they don't have at least 12 forwards, 6 defencemen, or 2 goalies who are all healthy to play.
Because of Markstrom's injury, the Flames only had one healthy goalie, so Wolf qualified as an emergency recall. Now that Markstrom in healthy again, but Vladar isn't, Wolf can stay up still on an emergency recall.

Also, AHL season ends the 21st, so all 3 could possibly play in the final 2 regular season AHL games (both against and in Abbotsford) after the NHL season ends (barring a miracle run by the Flames).

From Marky's interview, Vladar has been dealing with this for "past few years"

Could be on waivers next season but would probably clear and go to the Wranglers

Because the surgery doesn't ‘just fix’ the problem. Hip surgery is complex, invasive, and liable to produce complications, and it doesn't restore the joint to its original condition.

All I can get

A post-surgery Dan Vladar would be considered "damaged goods" during the off-season trade market. Better to re-hab him (with the Wranglers if necessary).
