Coolest part for me was the beginning when he was talking about himself and his family and what he'd bring to the show.
I've become so accustomed to hosts turning every moment like that into a joke, usually self deprecating, that it was really cool to hear him just stand in front of the crowd and pour his heart out about who he is and what he will bring to the tonight show.
Very genuine moment.

I have no idea. It would have been cool if Jimmy would have given a rundown on the history of the studio, if there is a history. Ie: is this the original studio, etc.

Going back to NYC was a great move. Conan misses that sizzle.
It's the first week and during the Olympics, so you know NBC was going to pull out all the stops. Conan's first Tonight Show had Will Ferrell and Pearl Jam.
I'm still curious to see how this will work in the long run with both shows being in New York.

6B, I believe so. Still, after 50 years of Johnny, Jay, and Conan's shows being on such a large stage in Burbank/Hollywood, plus Dave's theater, it just seems small for 11:30.
