No need to worry, other game is TSN2 from the start, likely due to it's 8:00PM ET start.

Calgary's line-up on January 19, 2004, the last Flames regular season win in Anaheim:

Gelinas - Conroy - Kobasew
Saprykin - McAmmond - Reinprecht
Clark - Lombardi - Donovan
Oliwa - Loyns - Green

Lydman - Ference
Regehr - Warrener
Leopold - Gauthier

Turek
McLennan

Iginla was sick, Kiprusoff was injured.

Pretty big test these next few games. I always expect a loss in Anaheim, so it would be nice to be pleasantly surprised. It seems like whenever I've predicted wins in the past the team loses, so I'll say 5-3 Ducks.

This will probably be the first reg. loss of the season. However, the boys will put up a good fight and make us proud.

3-2 Ducks

Evening with the additions to come, looking at that lineup, the fact that this team made it to the Cup finals a few months later is a miracle. Holy crapballs does that look average.

I'd like to see the same effort and start they've shown in the first five games. Hopefully that brings them two more points tonight.

LOL and they won?

The worst part of that overall line-up was that i had high hopes for 5-6 players.

That '04 team was still the best team we've had in the last 24 years, regardless of it's mediocrity on paper. If this team can be that mediocore we're in great shape!

3-2 Ducks. Monahan scored from behind the net, banking it off the keeper.

I remember that game. Iginla sprained his ankle the night before and only missed 1 game.

So you're saying that the key to victory is no Iginla or Kiprusoff?

It looks less than average. A few additions, but also some key injuries as well (no McCammond or Reinpretch) for the playoffs. Such a below average roster in terms of individuals.

I could be wrong, but I believe our 2nd line in the playoff run was Donovan, Neilson, Nimmenem........................ litterally our 2nd line. Donovan and Neilson were journeyman NHL players at best, Nimmenem was out of the league two years later I believe.

Crazy how far that team went in 04, hard work, playing like a team, great coaching............and of course lights out goaltending and Iggy at his peak gets you far.

A record 54 round shootout where goalie coach Olie Kolzig wins it for the Capitals.

Both teams are rusty from a few days off, Flames take 2 goal lead into the 3rd but unable to hold on. Ducks quack back and their skill brings them back to tie and win in OT or shootout

Final Result: Loss 4-3

Game is considered a win in my books the way the Flames play hard and have energy.

Some underrated aspects to that team. Two Selke calibre centres who could win a faceoff. Underrated defense.
