Who is getting the start for NJ?

If only there was a Game Day Thread that contained such relevant info for you to peruse.

Martin Brodeur gets the start in Calgary.
FINALLY, getting to see the hero before he retires. I will be cheering against the Flames tonight. Rather see Marty win then chased out in 7 minutes.

Maybe I should've kept the tickets to this game, might be the last chance to see Brodeur and Jagr live in Calgary. Oh well, should be a good game and looking forward to seeing more of the 47-23-22 line.

I think that NJ will take the Flames a lot more seriously than Wash, Col, Van and Mtl since we're playing good and I think today we'll see our first loss. It'd be crazy for them to take a hot team like us lightly which I think was the case at the start of our first 4 games.
4-1 NJ.
Sorry guys. Hopefully the Seanathon continues though!

If both teams' previous games are any indication: each teams will get and lose a 2 goal lead; the score after regulation will be 4-4; and it will be longest scoreless shootout in NHL history.

This also could potentially be the last game to see #23 in Calgary this year. But I think when the Flames return to Calgary on the 26th, it's more than likely that Monahan will still be with the Flames.

I'm not going to set any expectations on any results this season. I expect the team to continue to be hard working and entertaining. Everything else is uncontrollable, and with the (lack of) quality of this roster, I won't be upset/angry with a loss so long as the team works hard.

If the NHL starts scheduling around the CFL it might as well start scheduling against Bingo night.

Go to YouTube or NHL.com and look up some of his 1,500 ish games he's played in. Why you'd want to see your team lose is beyond me.
