The most deserved cup win I've ever seen. Total, complete dominance from minute one to ninety. Wonderful stuff all the way. Everyone showed up and everyone delivered..

I do think Rio is underrated, I don't rate him as high as Scholes but it's close IMO
for a period there the guys who were in his class you only needed one hand to count
(Cannavaro, Nesta, Thuram, Lucio, Terry) I am probably missing someone else
shows the problem England have had too, from 2004-2012 we had essentially 5 world class CBs in Rio, JT, King, Campbell, Woodgate (with a few injury problems)
Yet after Rooney we had no options at striker outside a broken Michael Owen, Crouchinaldo, and Emile Heskey
now we have Rooney, Sturridge, Kane, Welbeck, and even players like Sterling/Walcott who can play up top as well. Yet our CBs are Cahill and Jagielka.
Really hope 2 of Jones, Stones, Dier, or Smalling takes a huge step next season and are ready for France

Ferdinand-Vidic was an unbelievable partnership and for a few years the best CB pair in the world. They were simply outstanding for between 2007 and 2010. Unfortunately then injuries started to pile up for both and Ferdinand clearly lost a couple of steps. I felt he should have retired as a United player last season, it would have been time ... but oh well.
Going back to today - according to (usually quite reliable) sources in France, Morgan Schneiderlin is close to signing for Manchester United. I am always cautious when it comes to rumours, but I desperately want this one to be true. Fantastic player.
More likely due to Cleverly and his agent getting a percentage of the £8M by waiting till this summer.

Chairman David Gold welcomed West Ham's new signing Pedro Obiang to the club by mistakenly tweeting out a photo of Juventus defender Angelo Ogbonna.
The Hammers confirmed on Wednesday that they had signed Obiang, 23, from Sampdoria on a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee believed to be in the region of £4.3million. Gold took to Twitter after the signing had been announced to welcome the Spain Under-21 international to the east London side, but unwittingly posted a picture of Juve's Italian defender Ogbonna instead.

Freaking knob. I wasn't sure what Ashley could do to make everything worse but I think he's likely managed it.
I just don't get the decision making behind teams selecting managers.
What other profession would your resume read like:
I once was coach of a highly talented national team but failed to qualify for the Euros. I have been manager of 4 clubs in the last 5 years, resigning from one and being sacked from the other three. Nonetheless I feel I would be a strong candidate to manage your club.
And not only would you get the job but a three year contract and a seat on the board?
Seriously, are clubs scared of giving some up and coming manager a chance, instead relying on old proven failing duds?
Same with footballers. Why take someone like Cleverly when you know he brings zero creativity and little much else to the club when you could at least gamble on a youngster or two who couldn't be much worse. Just seems to be a case of recycling averageness at the expense of risking fresh blood.
