Default NHL Off-Season Power Rankings So Far

http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/n...-improved-far/

So who has improved the most so far? I bet many of you can guess the #1 seed:

Quote:
Once Brad Treliving got his own contract, the dude put in overtime. Keeping UFA Michael Stone and adding Travis Hamonic gives the Flames one of the best D cores in the NHL. Mike Smith isn’t young but he’s solid and should be motivated to play for a team with a chance. And retaining complementary forwards Micheal Ferland and Kris Versteeg for $1.75 million cap hits is a tidy bit of business on Treliving’s part.

So not really a power ranking but more of a "who did the best this off season"

Was thinking the list made zero sense lol.

This list makes more sense than the power rankings list over the course of the regular season... not just because the Flames are #1, either.

I'd put Vegas lower. Their only good acquisition was Shea Theodore.

They still have a pile of defence. I wonder if there will be any market for it come training camp?

Seems like no.

Detroit should be last too. Poor team sliding into the abyss and they stood pat.
Weird.

I know it'd be suicide for ticket sales, but the time to trade Zetterberg with cap retention is this season. They could get a massive return at the trade deadline.
