Aufsässig would be a welcome replacement of the t-word. Even an auto-replace like the old ####=fata would be nice. That was once a thing right?

puffnstuff was still trying to make a joke using the t-word, which is No Good.

I'm not sure if it's better or worse that these jokes are beginning to be directed at me instead of Burke.

Very unfunny either way. 0/10 would not read again.

This truculent trend is nearly has bad as "intellectual honesty", however atleast truculent and its derivatives are being correctly used.

I'd personally just ignore the guys that are doing it to you to be funny, it takes away from the whole crusade and will just make it jump the shark really quick, imo.

Just focus on the people that are actually using it and thinking they're being witty and hilarious. Those are the real ***holes.

The use of truculence is one of those things that somehow felt lame and played out as soon as it started. It's worse than any Feasterism.

This thread makes the word truculant awsome as in a whole bunch of other threads people are just trolling you because of your vocal dislike of the word truculant.

This ironic thing is this thread is increasing the use of the word truculant on this site. The exact oppistie of the goal of this thread.

Yes, it is a bit discouraging, but it's only been a couple people and one sig, which I will ignore from now on. It's like Einstein never said - sometimes things have to get worse before they get better.

I'll keep fighting.

I believe the (over) use of that word is more a symbol of whats wrong with the forum in general.

maybe this quote is more fitting for you sun,

First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.

We aren't going to add a word to the swear filter just because it is over used and/or misused. Especially when the over use stems from the Flames President's use of the word. That would cause issues when people are referring to things that Burke has said.

Sounds like passive truculence.

Sorry.

When you become a mod, do they inject you with some sort of serum that makes you immune to drollery?

Unfortunately, we'll have to wait until training camp before Burke says another word that all the simple minds can latch onto.

For the next couple months, "Truculent" it is.

Maybe that's the answer though, encourage overuse until everyone gets sick and tired of it. The post-apex of truculence will be achieved!
