You obviously are desperate to believe it was a UFO, so have at it. Just don't get all bent out of shape when people try to inject logic into the discussion.

I think by definition, this is a UFO. It's not identifiable.
No one is saying anything about little green aliens are piloting flying saucers. My suspicion is it was a meteor, but seeing it twice in one year makes me believe it's man made. I posted it because it was interesting and maybe someone can explain what's in the sky.
I'm not sure how that has veered off logical discussion?
But seriously, a highly reflective surface like an aircraft belly, could you get red shift if it was travelling away from you and you were looking at a reflected point of sunlight?
He saw something he couldn't explain and wanted opinions. I certainly don't equate that as desperation to believe it was a UFO.
UFO simply means unidentified, not necessarily of alien origin. I think he's strongly suggesting it is a spacecraft not of this world. That's the impression I get.

I took this from my phone in August, It's doesn't look as "red" in the video as it really was and the tail it has isn't a contrail in a normal sense as it's nothing like a water vapor trail. watch closely and you'll notice it disappears for a moment and reappears again! I thought it might have been a meteor but I had stop filming because of driving but still followed it by eye in the western sky for a few more minutes and then it took a dramatic horizontal left turn and I then lost it because of some buildings in my way.
As a pilot I have seen some silly reflections and even some crazy cloud patterns but if someone can explain it please do.
Incredible shot! I would say that looks familiar to the first one I posted in this thread back in July, although this seems to be closer and you are right, doesn't have the red underbelly. The disappearing act it does perhaps could be sun reflection or refraction. At least I know I'm not crazy in seeing things above Calgary haha . . . Where was this video taken?

It was taken right by the A&W in the foothills industrial looking west, and like I said the object was actually red but the crappy camera made it look white.
Also, first time I noticed the camera going out of focus as I mostly zoomed in on the object when looking at the vid

This seems very similar to something I saw in the sky float over nose hill, down across beddington about 20 years ago.
