Yeah, that Portland game is actually just going into the third period...

33 points in 14 games. It seems 3 points a game is the going rate these days for him.

Sven continues his dominance.

Also did anyone catch the Wheat Kings game? How did Ferland look?

IN 7 games since his return from injury, Baertschi has been one of the 3 stars in all but 1 game. To say he's dominating out there would be an understatement.

He's listed at 187 lbs, which is NHL ok, if he can add another 10 by next training camp then he'll be starring.

To summarize today:

Ferland had 1 assist
Brossoit let in 3 goals on 21 shots in a 4-3 loss
Elson had 1 assist
Holland had no points and a -1 in a loss
Wotherspoon had 2 assists
Baertschi had 3 assists

Also, all of our WHL forward prospects are a point per game or better.

That's pretty damn good.

Markus Granlund got his first 2min penalty tonight!!!

Also added and assist. So he's 4+5 in 17 games, +6. Average ice time 14:57. Tonight he got 19:29. The official site says 53 shots, which seems really good.

Might not make sense to update after every point, but anyone interested can track his points and ice time here game by game:

Granlund is playing in a mens league right?

If so, that kind of ice-time is nice to see.

RD, SM Liiga is tops in Finland. I was comparing stats with him and his Brother and wow, M Granlund really does have more skill than M Granlund. Yet, I like M Granlund. It was a good pick. Although there were some CHL guys that I might have looked at first. Shane Prince was a shrewd pick for ottawa, he was drafted after M Granlund. But I digress, that goal instantly gives MG more popularity though, perhaps we could sign his bro and they could be our finnish Sedins!!!!lol

Wotherspoon seemingly is responding to the increased amount of PT with PTL. Hopefully he's that big top 4 dman with a good slapshot and decent pp potential. poor she weber perhaps?

That move really improved our prospect situation along with the PByron acquisition. Props to jay.

Also, that last draft by darryl with Arnold, Maxwell, HOlland, Ferland and Leach is looking quite good right now. Add Brodie, Napolean and Nemo, it shows darryl didn't leave us barren.

Now with Steve scoring at over 2 ppg this is unreal. This guy is lighting it up.

I'm gushing...

BTW, Henry Fool, I really appreciate your insights, I know it works both ways, but your contributions have surely impressed many of us.

pS 2-0 Brandon Ferland with an apple early. Is that 24 for him now? wowzer, and he's a pugilist? chris simon light maybe...

Anyone know what's up with M Reinhart? He's not on the lineup for Kootenay tonight.

The Heat finally beat the Barons. 4-2 victory tonight. Nemisz continues his great season with a goal and an assist and named first star of the game. Rheault had 3 points as well and the last few weeks he has really been piling up the points.

-4...Ugh! Even our best prospects need a little character builder sometime.

Leach is plus three!

He played tonight in Victoria. Picked up two assists in an 8-3 drubbing but was pretty much invisible. Very disappointing. Hurt maybe?

My guess is it has to do with it being his third game in four nights. But it could be something else.
