Definitely different than our prospect ranking. I don't really agree with much of these rankings. What are your thoughts?

Jankowski is hilariously low.
Mangiapane is too low.
Shinkaruk is too high.
Poirier is too high.
Hickey is too low.
Karnaukhov is way, way too high.
Parsons is far too low.
No Tuulola?

All over the map. So weirdly ranked it's not even worth commenting on. I wouldn't know where to start.

Wotherspoon was drafted over 5 years ago and has had cup of coffee in the NHL for the past 3 years. He just might not qualify as a prospect to them.

I think our list is better.
Who do you guys think is the most misplaced? I'd go with Hickey.

After the top 5, it looks like they chose names out of a hat.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion.
But putting Riddich, McDonald and Pollock in the top 10, while leaving Hickey, Jankowski and Mangiapane outside the top 10, shows that they are clueless.
Choosing any one of those 6 things, no problem.. All 6? Flat out wrong.

Looks like they threw darts at the board to decide the rankings. Worthless list.

They have Wotherspoon making the team, that's why he's not on the list.

Picked up a copy too. They predict the Flames will be 4th in the division (Oilers 7th) and miss the playoffs.
Specific player predictions
Backlund: 16-27
Bennett: 20-31
Bouma: 15-15 (seems wildly optimistic)
Brodie: 11-44 (flagged as a Norris candidate)
Brouwer: 25-27
Chiasson: 11-10
Ferland: 12-12
Froli: 14-26
Gaudreau: 35-57
Gio: 13-36
Hamilton: 11-37
Monny: 31-44
Shink: 14-14
Tkachuk: 15-16
To be honest, this is why I find magazines like this weird at times. Based on the predictions for each player (which aren't even exhaustive) the Flames would score 250 goals - and have a Norris candidate (Brodie), Calder candidate (Tkachuk) and Hart candidate (Johnny). They would also see production increases from virtually every player.
Yet they will miss the playoffs.
Seems like a disconnect between the team reports and projections and the overall standings predictions.

Wow. I will take each one of those player predictions right now and let the chips fall.

Exactly. If all that happens - the Flames surely would make the post-season.
I don't see a world where Bouma hits 15 goals if all those other guys product at those levels. Just doesn't make sense. Lack of sense check in these things.

That's brutal. Most of those predictions are best case scenarios, and yet they miss the playoffs? Maybe they think Elliott and Johnson are both going to sustain career ending injuries in training camp, forcing team to bring back Hiller and Ramo for one more kick at the can...

When I look at the rankings on this list, and on CP's list and others, I think of a guy like Smith. Smith had a bit of swagger to him and it's got to hurt a guy like that to see him tumble down the rankings. Heck on this list he's even behind guys who have bolted to Europe.
Is it going to motivate him? Or is he so arrogant that he won't figure out that a lot of critical eyes pointed his direction have him slipping away.?
I have high hopes for him but I put Smith in the same spot as Poirier where this needs to be a year where there are big steps forward.
