Met my first Flames hero today - Jiri Hrdina -member of Flames SC champs of 1989
Hello guys!
I am an announcer of a big hockey tournament in Hodonin - Cup of 4 nations U20 /Czech republic, Sweden. Finland, Russia/.
Almost 80 scouts in Hodonin this weekend all around NHL clubs.
Met Jiri Hrdina, my hockey hero when I was a kid. He is one of the reasons I am such a huge Flames fan. Was really happy to meet him in person for the first time in my life today. Had a nice chat with him.
Flames scouts in here : Ari Haanpaa and Bobbie Hagelin. Did not meet them so far, will try tomorrow.
I have Czech national jersey on me,but I always have to have something in Flames colours on me no matter what :-) So I took this Flames cap with me today :-)

That's awesome, I was fortunate enough to meet Bearcat and Theo Fleury at a charity golf tournament earlier this week, it was great to hear some of their locker room stories from back in the day.

Calgaryboy is asleep now so i will answer.
Petr is a well known announcer in Moravia; he gets asked to work at all sorts of events.
Petr and I were walking in the Saddledome last visit and some people from Czech republic just heard his distinctive voice and approached us. They recognized his voice from radio. Small world.

I'd love to hear what Hrdina had to say about the Flames hat or the Flames in general.
Underrated player who contributed on stacked teams. Never gets the credit he deserves for his NHL career.

What's with these Czech guys that can stay fit forever, Jagr being the most incredible example?

I've never been to the Czech Republic but would love to visit!
