Wasn't he considering a management position in Stockton? Might not be a fulltime "fighting" coach, per se, but he could definitely be around the team to train up potential scrappers Smith and Carroll when they get a free moment.

I would like the Flames organization to take a more prominent role in the Calgary pride parade as well as anti-domestic violence initiatives. I thought with the arrival of Burke in Calgary that this would be more at the forefront but perhaps the league is still waiting on the first openly gay active player. Still, I think there is room for improvement.

Considering their core audience, sports leagues and teams in particular can heave considerable weight behind social change.

Based on the skating of some of Calgary's players as well, I think there is room on the coaching staff for a full-time skating coach. It is THE skill of hockey after all. Why is one of the cheapest teams in the league hiring a specialty coach and why can't the Flames?

I wonder if the first person to suggest an on-staff psychologist was laughed at?

The Flames are doing just fine in terms of endearment towards the minorities,charities,needy,downtrodden,forgotten,e tc. What else do they have to do? It's almost like
