I'll take the veteran moxy in a game like that.

I would have agreed with you before Murray took the Penguins to the Cup. Now, I think NA is the third best team in the tournament, and is certainly capable of beating Canada on any given day.

This. It's funny how much more I like Crosby and pull for him to retain his "best player in the world" status since McDavid ended up in mulletville.

The marketing arm of the NHL is salivating at the epic circle jerk possibilities of Captain McDavid squaring off against Captain Crosby. Coming up next! Who will be the next hero? Will Sid repeat and save Canada on home soil like he did in 2010, or will The Next One stake his claim as the best in the world?! Stay tuned as The Captains battle it out!

Yup. Naturally.
Couldn't work in a 'legend of Eddie Lack is growing' though.

All signs point to the 25-year-old participating at the World Cup of Hockey 2016 despite undergoing hip surgery earlier this offseason.
“Everything is looking good,” Flames general manager Brad Treliving said. “He’s been back here for a little bit of time now and our staff has had a chance to check him out. Everything looks good. He’s been training. He’s been skating. I think there are a couple final checks to do, but everything is looking positive.”

Looks pretty positive that we'll see Jokipakka play on the big stage.

Nakladal is a good defence man and very useful. I'm still shocked the Flames haven't signed him and neither has any other club.
Am I seriously that bad at judging talent? He's an NHLer IMO.

He didn't look fantastic last year on one of the worst defensive teams in the NHL.
He's a borderline NHL player imo.

Yeah. Nak unquestionably was miles better than Wideman last year. Small sample size notwithstanding.

Nakladal is maybe one player who can financially benefit from the World Cup if he gets much ice time.

I think there will be a lot of teams watching him. Also it is good because he doesn't have to go the PTO route to get in some training camp and skating time.

Johnny and Sean keep their jersey numbers in case you were waiting to buy your U-23 jersey.
