Wow, he doesn't get very many good guests on his new show.
No, he certainly doesn't, and that's okay to be honest. He never had the great guests on Late Night, and the bigger celebrities don't always mean the best interviews.
Breckin Meyer was hilarious, and Flogging Molly is always a treat.
Lopez is on right after him on TBS. It's a cross promo.
Conan can't hold onto momentum.
it's because he didn't change a single thing from his Tonight Show gig, aside from losing all of his best recurring bits. he didn't take any risks, didn't break any new ground, and now he's back to just being another generic late night host. the guy is legitimately funny (when he's not doing a monologue) but he seems afraid to step out of the box
Start at about 16:10 for the serious/inspiring stuff. The first 16 minutes is good as well though.

Thank God Reggie Watts is on this week! It's been so long since he was on!

lol...yah, it's getting kind of repetitive now. Not sure how much longer I wanna keep this up. I didn't even watch any of the shows last week. Maybe because I was too busy, or maybe because all the guests sucked. Whatever. Love Conan, but something needs to change. Anyway...
I didn't think it was worth a new thread, but now that Jimmy Fallon has settled in on Conan's old show, how do people feel about him?
I never really liked him on SNL, but I have to admit that as a late night talk show host, he has grown on me somewhat. He has some original material and he is a surprisingly good interviewer. His guests seem to like being there, and his Neil Young impressions are uncanny. They are funny, but still respectful.

I know this is a thread about Conan, but since someone brought up Fallon, I'm going to bring up my favorite.
I think Craig Ferguson is by far the funniest guy on late night. I admit he gets kinda weird sometimes, but his interviews are great (when the guest plays along) and that stupid robot sidekick now has a live guy doing the voices. It is Josh Robert Thompson, a voice actor and they have some great exchanges.
Check out his interviews with NPH, Kristen Bell, Ewan Mcgregor, Will Ferrel, Robin Williams and a couple others.
His interview with Will Ferrel is the first interview I have seen where Ferrel wasn't in character and Craig had Ferrell on his toes instead of just sitting back and letting Ferrel do his thing.
