Nice to see Shrinky hitting the score sheet again.

I mean, if these guys aren't going to make the NHL squad, at least they could carry some trade value instead of fizzling out into becoming unqualified RFA's.

Assets, assets, assets.

Las Vegas bound? Keep making it complicated, unprotected guys who may be Sin City bound.

5-2 final. 4 points up on Bakersfield with 4 games left for each team.

Janko's 10 game point streak ends, but the Heat played a pretty good game against a tough opponent.

Kylington supposedly came back to the bench after getting gooned in the first but he left the game at some point. I don't think he took a shift after the incident.

The Heat play again tomorrow and so do the Condors, but 4 points is a big gap.

Flames may not play again for 4-5 days; do they send back re-enforcements like Andersson and Rittich?

They might as well. Since the Heat play in San Jose tomorrow afternoon, they wouldn't even have to pack up their gear after the game tonight.

I hope so. Andersson has been up for long enough to get a taste of the lifestyle and finally got a game. I'd rather see him join the playoff push for the Heat than just stick around the big club as a black ace. You'd think Rittich would go down too, unless Johnson has something significantly wrong with him.

Man it's nice that a useless POS scrub like Stortini can find employment somewhere where he could potentially end the career of a promising young prospect.

He kneed Kylington correct? But OK came back just fine?

Go flip burgers somewhere huggy bear you schlub.

Does the recall limit end when the NHL's regular season ends or the affiliate's season ends?

After the NHL regular season, there is no longer a 4 recall limit. Instead, it's replaced by a 3 recalled player limit. You can now send players up and down as long as you don't have more than 3 non-emergency recalls on the roster at the same time.

Once the AHL team's season ends, there is no recall limit whatsoever.

After the regular season there is unlimited recalls, provided the team doesn't have more than 3 players that have been called up by regular recall on the NHL roster.

Players can still be recalled in excess of the aforementioned 3 if it is an emergency recall or the team that the player has been loaned to has completed their regular season and playoffs.

From December 20 to February 18, the Heat went 3-15-3.

Outside of that stretch, they've gone 30-10-3.

Shinkaruk with 10 pts in his last 5 GP (7G, 3 A) - heating up at the right time at least!
