Sacrifice one to encourage the other. Instead of a spike strip put an enormous cheese grater across the road. Then call in a fire truck to rinse the road off.

At those speeds even a smaller object, like a mirror bike can do serious damage to larger vehicles. If the guy in the video had Tboned another vehicle, his bike is ripping through the other vehicle.

My father narrowly survived a Harley Davidson, going twice the limit, lodging itself into the rear and, thankfully, unoccupied half of his vehicle.

Could you imagine losing a family member to an accident caused by one of these absolute pieces of human trash?

There are ways to be a daredevil and get your adrenaline rush without putting the general public at risk for their lives.

Bike was weaving in and out of traffic and ran a orange/red light.

You can see him riding in between lanes multiple times in the video.

Would their organs be even usable for donations if they crashed going that fast?

The brain was already unusable, likely the same for the liver, lungs and the teeny testicles.

They're coming.

A company in California called Lightning just released a bike that goes 350km/h and are releasing another this year that will go over 400.

All the sport bikes have been capped at 310km/h for 2+ decades, places like the EU won't homologate bikes beyond that speed.

Well, it's nice to see they chose a reasonable upper limit.

It's a good thing we cap those pesky e-bikes and scooters at like 30km/h.

Thats the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

It reminds me of a Top Gear (pretty sure...it wasnt Grand Tour?) anyways, Clarkson goes to Japan to test drive the Nissan GTR and its built-in GPS system limits the car's speed and power while it detects that its on public roads, but once you drive it to a track the system de-activates to allow you full access to the power.

And then once you drive it off the track the limiter kicks in again.

I thought that was a fairly elegant system.

I think that was 15 years ago. Surely we could have come up with something similar if not better in that time.

In Canada it’s called photo radar.

And also making it technically illegal to use them anywhere except pathways, which is awfully tough if you don't live right beside a pathway.

Not that I'm aware of. Most vehicle governors are related to the tires they spec on the car. It's quite expensive to throw on tires that are good to 250 km/h+, so they need to make sure the car can always safely operate on the tires it comes with.

Modifying the engine's ECU is never a problem unless you live somewhere with emissions testing and do something that causes your inspection to not pass.
