If he helps Puljujarvi adapt to NA better it may be money well spent regardless.

This is a good signing for the Oilers. Cheap veteran two-way help is exactly what they need. Should help them return to the post season.

And that was really only true for one season. He scored on 10 of 13 attempts in 2005-06. He has scored 10 shootout goals total over the last 7 seasons.

Spector says it's $1.1M with a limited no-trade (although, if he's willing to go to Edmonton, where would he not be willing to go to?).

No kidding....limited No-Trade on a 1-Year deal....with Edmonton? Where does he not want to be traded to? Edmonton?

"You MUST trade me at the deadline."

It's a good signing....and extremely cheap for a year. Even after they get Leon's deal done.....they still have a bunch of money for this years cap.

Pretty meh tbqh. Would be solid if they had our blue line, but with their blue line I don't see it. Bubble playoff team.
You must be Jokinen!

I noticed he's good at faceoffs.

How much center has he played in the last couple of years?

I expect it's like Jarome where he steps in to take faceoffs because he's good at them but then goes back to playing wing?

Jokinen has been on waivers at times the last few seasons IIRC, but at 1.1 it's hard to argue value. Ok signing I think.

not much. Mostly played on Trocheck's wing. However, he still took a lot of face offs, mostly on the PK.

Immature? Yes.
Was I able to resist doing it anyway? Obviously not.

Uh, just once, and it was for expansion draft purposes recently. He's still a very good player, just slow.

So why did Panthers buy him out?
Cap issues or just want more team speed?

He was on waivers, at least, during his time in Carolina as well.
