I think Gazdic plays a game only if there was an 'incident' in the previous game with a certain team. For instance, when Haley was called up to the lineup last year. Better this way, then have Treliving scrambling in trying to add toughness mid-season after an altercation.
Other than that, it wouldn't surprise me in the least to see Gazdic spend all 82 games in the AHL. He is there to protect the kids in a league that enforcers are common.
This guy was Taylor hall's wing man off the ice. An absolute entitled goof. He was the guy out with hall at the bars hours after they would get embarassed off of their home ice.

I wouldn't be sad to see Smith pull a McLennan on Kesler.
One of my favourite Flames moments. Kipper was getting run all game. Noodles sent out there just to send a message. Kipper even kept all his gear on, including his helmet.
I can't think of another instance where a back up was sent in and done something like this, so good.
