I imagine it's because the AHL gets a tad "goonish" at times, and with how young our roster is down there, someone has to be there to keep things in check.

I think people here know I like the tough guys, but having lived in Edmonton this is a big NO!!! From me.
This guy was Taylor hall's wing man off the ice. An absolute entitled goof. He was the guy out with hall at the bars hours after they would get embarassed off of their home ice.
I have no idea why the Flames would introduce this type of personality to our development program.
I'd rather we signed mcGratton for the AHL role or re-signed Bollig.
A big miss by Treliving on this one.

I'll be the first to defend fighting at the NHL level, but I don't care for it at the development level. It's too bad the AHL still has a need for these types of players.
At least Gazdic will fight though. I can't say Bolligs showed a lot of interest for the Flames
