I can't believe he stayed there. That team is a bottom 5-10 team without him, and likely only going to get worse given the ages of their key players.
I guess it's pretty near impossible to walk away from $84 million, but this is a guy who's reputation as the best goalie in the world is pretty much a lock. Even if he waited for free agency, and ended up getting hurt for half the season or more, somebody would have ponied up for him next off season you would think.
Ah well, have fun carrying that team for the rest of your career Carey.
