Maybe the Ducks decide to yolo and go all in
Giordano
Bennett
Lindholm
Sam Steel
some other decent expansion exempt player
that's about the only way I could see this happening. Fowler/Manson/Vatanen aren't nearly nice enough pieces to get Brad to even think about moving Bennett, but Lindholm might tempt him.

The ONLY possible way I can see this working is if Treliving trades Bennett for Vatanen (which I wouldn't be a huge fan of to start with) and then trades a second (and Brouwer, essentially) to Vegas. But I wouldn't be a huge fan of that.

I don't see it happening, but after the playoffs I don't doubt Anaheim has interest in Bennett.

Bennett for Fowler or Lindholm if we're seriously considering this (which I'm not). Vatanen is overrated and I wouldn't even consider trading Bennett for him.

A team liking a player counts as a rumour now? Friedman needs to drop down his 30 thoughts down to 15.

They're literally just his thoughts on the NHL each week, he's just posting them for anyone who may be interested. I enjoy hearing all thirty, and I'm sure many do.
It's not his fault if everyone's looking for juice out of every single one or looking to take issue.

Bennett for Lindholm/Fowler (Do we add here? Most likely)
Brodie for a young top line forward (Eg. Drouin)
Only way I could ever see Tre even considering something like this.

Bennett is going nowhere.
At the Jewish Centre sports dinner on Thursday, Burke had lots of praise for him calling Sam a "mean son of a bitch".

Burke also said last summer that Bollig would be playing a lot more this season. He's a figurehead, nothing more.

Listening to him you sure don't get that impression. But you may be right.

Well that seems like a pretty drastic statement in the other direction. Nothing more than a figure head? I couldn't see Burke playing that role, it would be very surprising.

I just think think that its great that a shrewd GM with an eye for talent really likes Bennett. Quite nice in contrast to some posters talking about Bennett just being a third line grinder and how that was a blown pick.
Kid has talent, and it is great to see people in the hockey world covet him.

I still believe Sam Bennett will be the best player on this team.

Because the kid is a ####ing stud. High praise from an organization that has been kicking our asses for the past 15 years.

In other news, Flames really like Filip Forsberg.

I really hope so. If the Flames are going to take the next step and win a playoff game next year, they're going to need Bennett to step up. Sure the Flames gave up some weak goals, but they also struggle coming back from a deficit.

Sam Bennett's shooting percentage dropped 2.5% last year. His Corsi dropped since he played a lot with Brouwer, but he was awesome in the playoffs.
I expect a rebound year from Bennett in 2017-18. It's about time that this team had another breakout year, and I think we'll see Gaudreau return to 70+ points, Monahan return to 30+ goals and 60+ points, Tkachuk jump up to 55+ points, and Bennett jump up to 50+ points. Wouldn't that be nice.
