Sometimes some or all of those are true, particularly when it's only pictures, but I didn't find any of them to be the case with this article, or Time.com in general.
I just found the idea of finding an article notionally interesting enough to open a thread but then refusing to even look at it because of its formatting worthy of traditional Chinese mocking dance.
