Default Domi Scores Ridiculous Breakaway Goal

Wow, absolute filth from Max Domi. I know he's got his detractors on here due to his size, questions on his ability to translate his game to the NHL, etc. He's really upped his game since the WJC, being involved all over the ice. Check out this All-Star worthy play:

Hopefully he doesn't turn into a d-bag like his dad.

He's got a lot of skill, it's the stick-the-tongue-out and antics like that that bug me. I'm not ticked because he scores, I'm just not sold on the kid that does it.

Highlight worthy but hardly repeatable. Extraordinary circumstances.

If Roman Cechmanek came out of retirement we could see 2 or 3 of those a week. Peter Schaefer had a similar goal circa 2005

Yep, it's the NHL. If you have more personality than a cardboard box, you aren't well liked.

Personality is great. Cockiness isn't. We'll see what path he goes down. He's a good player with some skill, hope he doesn't act too silly when he's in the big league.

His dad was a colorful (as well as a jerk) guy and I don't have any problem with that as long as he can back it up with his play.

People are overly critical with him. I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan but don't dislike him either. At the world juniors they showed how he takes time to meet with other kids who have diabetes and he seemed pretty genuine about it. Told the kid he could have his number to call him if he needed. I forget how often he does this but it was pretty frequently. Not to say this means he's a great kid but it does show another side to him. He's young. Most kids his age are a little dumb or cocky. He seems to be doing alright all things considered.

If genetics have anything to do with talent, his mom must have been one hell of a hockey player.

I thought it was ridiculous how Healy was talking about how Domi would own the All-star skills competition in a couple years.

The guy can't stand "Johnny Hockey" but he has no problem labeling a junior player with no NHL games under his belt as a future all-star.

His dad actually wasn't a bad hockey player.

I was at the game and what doesn't translate in the video is the speed at which he did this move. It was ridiculous.

Sick goal i still think if Domi carries on his cockyness in the NHL it is going to put a target firmly on him.
