Are people that concerned about the garbage at home? It just seems to me that you are sacrificing freshness and wasting time at the store. Then you end up with 3 people trying to all peel their corn, so nobody else can just grab and go.

I figure there must be some other benefit that I am missing.
People are scared they're going to get a bad one. They also want to save two cents by not paying for the weight of the husk. Next up, peeling bananas in the store.

It keeps the corn hair from messing up your house.

Wow. Spoken like someone who isn’t constantly dealing with corn hair in every corner of the house. Check your privilege.

I just know how to de-jacket corn without it being an issue. I'm special that way.

I had my first food item (iced latte) completely prepared by a robot arm today. I welcome our robot overlords! Didn't even tip him!

De-jacket? Is that a real word or term for shucking corn?

I take my corn home because I know that stuff is composted. The store may toss it into the trash.

So how long do we get between not tipping 20% for a sandwich and skynet killing us all?

I'm not sure anything could matter less to planet earth than caring about three corn shucks making it into the compost versus the trash.
