You can download the Windows software for free and load it on to a USB and then just purchase the key from another website such as Amazon. It's legal as far as I know.

This is where I bought from:

Be careful buying Windows licenses from places like Amazon, eBay, strange websites, and a certain unnamed subreddit.

Those licenses are often academic or MSDN keys that are sold for profit. Once Microsoft gets wind of it, the user gets blacklisted, and all the keys they sold get deactivated. Then your copy of Windows does a license check, and deactivates on you.

Cool, I didn't even know that was even an option if I wanted to test the gray market.

Ended up paying like $140 for a "legit" version from mem express, but heck, I'm all about gray market stuffs and would try it next time.

I bought an OEM version for 105. It's permanently tied to your computer/motherboard but so what.

Looks like the monitor I've been waiting for finally?

27 inch, 3840 x 2160, G-SYNC HDR, and 144Hz refresh.

Thought my SSD died the other night, which hadn't been backed up in months. Got a weird light blue screen of death error which windows said it was uploading the information. It didn't progress past 0% uploaded and when I rebooted it wouldn't recognize my HD. Took it out and put it in my laptop, it ran chkdsk and magically the drive works again. Would have been my third dead intel ssd, but thankfully it lives.

I wouldn't think so, the computer hadn't moved and worked fine for hours prior. Seems like a software glitch or something.

Still doesn't recognize it, but the laptop does? Maybe see if there's a BIOS update, or a firmware update for the SSD.

No, it works fine now that I put it back in my desktop. I guess I should have added that. I looked in the bios first when it wouldn't recognize the drive at all.

I put the GPU in and decided I wanted it in a different slot but it wouldn't release very easily, so I used a bit too much force and out came the entire bus.

Ahh yes, the nice hidden release tab near the back of the slot hidden by the GPU.
