That Sunseri can throw.
So the Riders are playing RB carousel or something? They started the season with Anthony Allen, then after he fumbled the ball a few times in comes Hugh Charles, then Will Ford, then Jerome Messam and now back to Allen again?

Pretty sure Messam would be the power back but he is hurt.

Good save tackle by Aisworth, otherwise Tim Brown is gone and BC wins the game.

Well that was a beat 'em up slug fest. Both defences made plays, 3/4 QBs made plays. I was impressed by Sunseri.
Glad the Riders don't have to return to BC since that place may be rather full

Guarenteed win night didn't go so well for the Lions eh?....who couldn't see that coming a mile away?
That SK defense is awfully good but that offense is questionable at best.

Lulay threw the ball as far as he could on the hail Mary and it went what, 40 yards? That's not a good sign for him

Total attendance was 33,196. They have 4 home games remaining. So, that averages out to potentially 8,299 free tickets per game.
Their remaining games are against Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, and Calgary. They've been averaging around 25,000 per game prior to today, so it will be interesting to see what impact the free tickets have.
I wonder what percentage of redemption teams typically get for guaranteed win promotions?

Isn't the free tickets for next game only? Sorry i didn't pay really attention to what the guy say. All I hear is he guaranteed a win.

I understand it to be a free ticket to a remaining game.

Yep i just read it on the Herald this morning. Classic fail for that guy. I don't understand how he can guarantee a win against one of the best team in the league when he will never be on a field to at least make a difference. Oh well I guess he is just trying to light up the fire on his team but it backfired on them.

I didn't mind it. They tried and got a lot more fans out and created a buzz. The Stamps should do it for Labour Day, pack the house.

Like I mentioned before, they will likely be second level tickets they wouldn't sell otherwise, it gets people in the building and hopefully spending money on other things. How many people who bought tickets to last night's game would have gone to another game this season anyway?

It's not a fail, it's a sales promotion. Lots of teams do guaranteed win nights.
I don't remember which league it was (I think the AHL), but within the last couple of years, one team did a "come back until you see a win" promotion. If you bought tickets to their guaranteed win night and they lost, you'd get free tickets to their next game, and if they lost it, you'd get free tickets to their next game, and so on until you saw the team win.
So long as you're not giving away too many tickets that you otherwise would have sold for full price, you still come out ahead based on other revenue you generate from those people at the game.

It's actually a free ticket in the same price category as the ticket the person had for yesterday's game, subject to availability: http://www.bclions.com/article/guara...n-instructions
