Since we're kind of on the subject, I've noticed since I joined up that we've always got two game threads and two post game threads. Shouldn't it be one of each?

There's usually one PGT, one GT and one PGT. plus Bingo's Game takes which is abnout him writing a nice piece of analysis.
Often people start GT or PGT threads at the same time, but generally only one is used going forward.

- GDT (Game Day Thread) = Discussion about that day's upcoming game prior to puck drop.
- GT (Game Thread) = Discussion about the game as it is happening.
- PGT (Post Game Thread) = Discussion about the game after it has ended.
- Game Takes = Bingo's post game analysis.

I get the differences, it just seems redundant to have these two (in particular) as separate threads, you know?

Need to keep the Game Day for all the irrational in game reactions. Cheese's Game Day Threads are spectacular and shouldn't be ruined by someone hating on Mangiapane for not being able to stay on his feet.

It's not really apparent right now since it's a less interesting time of year, but in a winning season, especially big games, those threads just get too big to not split up
I'm not sure if it's the main factor, but gotta be part of it

I do that when other teams are playing.
I don’t when the Flames are playing.

Think he probably meant the picks from the iglinla trade. We had a few first rounders. All were misses.

Soon (within the next year or two) we will be trading the likes of Mangiapane, Markstrom, Kuzmenko, and Sharongovich and maybe Weegar, Kadri and Coleman. This will give us a few more picks to work with. Hell, there’s a really good chance that by the time we are able to contend, a lot of the young players we are hopeful for today wont be around. It’s a long road ahead of us and this draft is just the initial steps for what this team will be in the future.
Way too early to get too concerned/excited

Some of us might be dead though. So maybe a little urgency?

Ha ha
Well, there is that I suppose but this is where we are in the ”rebuild”. At this point we could be relevant again rather quickly (5 or 6 years) or, it could go the other way and Iglina Jr. could be retired before we are relevant again.
Either way, it’s way too early to get too excited about anything.

Wolf looked good after the softy. Really like how active he is with the puck. Reminds me of Marty Turco for some reason.
