Vogelbach has one job and shouldn't be getting struck out with his bat on his shoulder. And he shouldn't have been left in the 6th with two runners on.

I don’t think I’ve ever disliked a team that I cheer for as much as I dislike this team

I think you'll know when Schneider gets on the hot seat when he drops the nice guy act and finally calls out some players for severe underperformance post game.
His post gamers are way too cliched (I know most are - helped by the in person beat writers lobbing softball questions). Only tough question was the Vogelbach decision, and said he wanted him to be available to hit later in the game vs a righty.
Well he did hit later and struck out looking in the 9th. I could strike out looking in the 9th.
Otherwise, the message was how well they grinded out vs starters and that they are playing ok without the offense at full speed, and again, that it's only a matter of time.
Well, it's the same thing he said after 5 games, and now it's the same message after 25 games, they are 1 game over 500, they haven't gotten more than 5 runs in 3 weeks, but, it's only a matter of time?

Only a matter of time...Okay coach Schneids.
How about it's only a matter of time before you, Guillermo Martinez and Atkins get canned?

Bo went 0-4 and saw what, 7 pitches in total? Just weak ass at bats from him and Vladdy. It's not the results it's the effort. Time to shake that lineup up. Bo and Vladdy at the top is not good at the moment.
I agreed with trading Guriel and Hernandez as a culture change but Vladdy hasn't been the same since. Some guys can play when nothing is on the line but when the pressure turns up they wilt. Thinking Vladdy is wilting.
Barger with quite the adventure today. Tough first hit to deal with in LF. Couple of good at bats as well. Any other field and that is out. Hope he plays every game from here on out until they have to make a decision on players.

This team has to change hitting coaches just to try something new

The second they decide to fire the hitting coach is when the decision has been made to put Vlads name out there. Personally I think it’s the only way of recouping young assets, and they have to deal him. BUT the second you deal him you know it’ll be a convenient excuse for Bo to want out as well. It’s a very tough position to be in, brought about by piss poor asset management and drafting by Atkins. I don’t truly see the path ahead unless they do try and get a kings ransom in dealing both. It’s probably come to that.

Why does changing hitting coaches mean you trade vlad ? I’m not following at all …. The whole idea would be the get Vlad and Bo going with a different approach
No team is giving up anything for Vlad of value anyways - let alone a kings ransom
He’s making 20 million to be a replacement level 1B . His only value right now is marketing wise

The hitting coach is apparently his friend. So to get rid of yet another friend of his, to me would be a nail in the coffin. I agree he should be dumped but just can’t see how Vlad would react positively.
Anyway, I do think Vlad as trade value with the assumption his next deal would be under 5 years. His physical capability is still high, and he has no lingering injury history like other bounce back players. Its his approach and his mental game. I would bet there are more than a handful of teams who’d want him. A kings ransom would be for Bo, but I truly think Vlad could bring back good pieces for a team who thinks they could unlock his potential with tweaks.

Halladay was able to build himself back up after being sent to the minors but his mental toughness was off the charts. Does Manoah have that in him? Is this all mental with him? I mean, not putting in the work, laziness?
Such a blow to the pitching staff. No way he gets back to the big club. I hate Francis and he is better option than Manoah.

While Manoah is the one who fell apart, I also put a good amount of the blame on the Jays.
They let him implode time after time last season until late in the season. Doing that for so long just made the situation worse. He's done as MLB'er. He's probably done as pitcher period.

Oh crap. Hadn't heard.
Does Pop get a call? Thought he was decent enough but not a long man I guess.
Hell of a catch from George!
