I think it's not generating more buzz is the fact they it hasn't been observed again. And the Russians have been poring over this data for a year before disclosing it, I sense that if there was a bombshell in here it would have already been out.

We have only been broadcasting long enough to reach 100 lightyears from Earth. Which means that they couldn't have received our broadcast and responded in that time. Unless magic.
