This whole United Alarm thing is pretty shady it seems like... I mean, it's their equipment, they're "renting" it to you, but they're suggesting that they have a "one year warranty" on it and after that the homeowner is responsible for repairs and service. What the #### is that? It's your equipment. You don't offer a warranty on it. That's not a thing. If I buy a piece of property I can get a warranty that it's not going to break, but if I'm renting it, it's still your property; it's on you if it breaks. That's at your risk. This is screwy enough that I feel like I'd end up sending these guys a demand letter at some point, I think I'll just skip it.
