I think the whole site could be improved greatly by having the cell padding. There is just so much scrolling, I'd rather move my eyes around a page to see everything than have to go up and down, up and down to get all the info.

I hadn't been to NHL.com since they allowed themselves to get completely ripped off by SAP. Looks like there still isn't a reason to go.

Didn't think it looked too terrible, signed in and was tooling around the app on my Roku...locked up stuck on the wildcard standings page. Couldn't even get back to home without a hard reset. I'll blame the Roku since I don't want to praise the machine.

The website and app both look like they were designed by old men with poor eyesight. What is with everyone going to big and blocky? I hate it. I also never liked that it took too many clicks to get to a games box score, now it seems even worse.

Further more who the hell buys tickets to a game off of this site? Give that prime real estate to the box score ffs. Especially for games that are already completed. I know that I have never bought a ticket for a game that has already been played. I may be ahead of myself as there is no old games on the header to judge off as of yet.

You know what else sucks? Major spoiler issue on the new video center. The header bar scores are hidden but immediately below the player the scores are there very large, and very easy to accidentally see.

I don't want to come accross like a whiny baby, but for people like me who live off of game center and usually watch the games 8 hours after game time once i get home from work this is a big deal. Nothing spoils my day more than a Flames loss than having the score spoiled before endurring it.

How does one go about constructively giving feedback to the NHL on issues like this?

The NHL email address is customersupport@web.nhl.com

The phone number (which I use) is 1-412-386-2646. The number is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

I like that the new Android app pretty much just focused on the Flames for me and has clear settings for blocking all the push notifications that spoil the scores for me. The video, like on the browser version, seems smoother than it used to be with less interruptions but less also fuzzier and less clear than it used to be. Also, it seems to want my GPS turned on in order to watch game replays.

Mixed feelings.

I think nowadays, the best way to give feedback is to tweet your thoughts on it to them and to post it to their facebook page.
They don't like negative stuff in their social media feeds.

Jaydorn - we were discussing this a bit last night on Twitter, but this is why the "mobile only" look drives me batty. This is what I can fit onto my work desktop monitor: a 22" screen at 1600x900 resolution:

Old format:

Spoiler!

That's 22 games from the Flames schedule, filtered to show the home schedule only.

New format:

Spoiler!

Four games. No ability to filter by home or away. No ability to filter by season. No ability to filter by preseason/regular season/postseason. No ability to filter by television broadcast. But they did give us the ability to change the time zone.

In this instance, MLBAM took a dramatic step backward because 4" cell phone screens can't handle the amount of information a 22" desktop screen can. The desktop experience is held hostage to the mobile experience.

The pages are also really slow now. As in, the slowest supposedly professional pages I've been to in a long time.

The new "Scores" section makes it really difficult to see who scored. It seems like you have to click "Gamecenter" which then opens a new tab that has all the stats.

NHL.tv not working at all for me, Xbox One app.

"Cannot connect to NHL.tv. Please check your network connection and try again."

My network connection is fine. Just checked Netflix and it works. Anyone else having issues?

Nope, crystal clear on both Roku and PS4

I can't access NHL.com, NHL.tv, and unblock isn't working on the Xbox One.

Took me two periods to get tablet working stably for Pens-Sens game. Boy that was worth it.

Browser worked until I resized to full screen, then went to the absolute unwatchably pixelated view even though it had four bars 'quality'.

I'll tolerate this until next set of games then I'll make a complaint.

Not to add I have to try repatching the darn app so I can use it on my Blackberry.

ETA: by 'stable' on the tablet I mean 50-60 consecutive seconds of action between 15 seconds of buffering. Sigh.
