2nd and older prospect roster player (Jooris/granlund/Colborne/Byron) would be as far as I'd go.

You would give up Colborne and a 2nd but not a 1st?

Absolutley, you wouldn't give up Colborne and a 2nd to get 15th assuming we didn't pick there?
1st holds way more value at this point

If that's what they're going to be asking for Sharp, I wonder what the market is for Hudler. That was the asking price at the deadline though and things can change drastically from then to now.

you'd likely get more for Hudler than either Bouwmeester or Iginla.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we got more for Hudler than the leafs do for Kessel

After his last few seasons and The Shift(tm) I think there are a lot of teams that would like to get their hands on Colborne. I would rather see what he can do for the Flames moving forward, guy is still young.

I would not trade Colborne right now. He's only completed his second full season. His first year here he had some troubles in the first half but seemed to get it around the 40 game mark and was a solid performer this year. This year, he was ranked 199th out of all the forwards in points, which is either a high end 3rd liner or a low end second liner, and he missed 18 games.
Plus he's from here and loves the Flames. Can't ask for much more. If you write a list of players to deal, he would probably be in the bottom 10 or so.

Yeah, I don't think Colborne is going anywhere. The Flames want to get bigger, moving out a big body like his goes against the grain.
Be interesting to see what the Hawks get for Sharp. Not sure he's worth a 1st at this point, but all you need is one team willing to pay that.

100% agree on Colborne. We just now are seeing what he could be capable of.

Fine, to avoid a 10 page argument on Colborne lets just say Jorris/granlund and a 2nd

Not sure why we would give anything for Sharp. Doesn't fit what we need at all.

Not looking to get any older. Hope the Flames don't pull a Colorado and add several seniors to the mix. Patrick Sharp isn't what this team needs.

Hopefully draft day has lots of action, sure sounds like a lot of teams are open to making moves, including the Canes.
Chip Alexander @ice_chip
Asked about potential trades, Francis said, "I'm more open to discussing changes and making changes" than a year ago.
Chip Alexander @ice_chip
Francis again said Canes could consider trading down in first round of draft but said it likely would be a "draft-floor decision."
Chip Alexander @ice_chip
Canes GM Ron Francis says conversations continue with Eric Staal, Cam Ward on possible contract extensions. Says "still early in process."

The buyout period begins 48 hours after cup final and lasts until June 30.
