Those are....interesting D pairs
Also, Kuzmenko is officially in the doghouse. I don't buy the "still sick" or recovering from being sick at this point.

Seem to be getting ready for the post Hanifin and Tanev world by separating Andersson and Weegar.

Why doesn't the coach want to play Gilbert?
I really don't understand how Oesterle is the preferred choice.

We have won 8 out of our last 11, he is trying to change that.

Put Kuzmenko on hubby line. Hubby is playing great right now . I have more faith KUz can convert those passes. If flames are in lead in 3rd period, then put Kuz down to 4th line if he is that much of a liability.

Proof will be the game on Saturday I suppose.
I think his illness was one thing, his demotion is another.

Agreed. Could also be strategic in keeping Hanifin’s value as high as it can be. Weegar is more similar in style defensively to Tanev than Andersson is IMO… the flames really want to maximize Hanifin’s return considering they did not get very much for Tanev. Would not be a great look if he struggled in his first few games without Tanev so putting him with Weegar is probably the best option.

Kuz could be an ideal piece for Vegas.
I hope he gets well soon, I really like his energy on the team and would rather keep than trade him still. But if we're getting good offers, might be the best move.

Being held out pending trade. Edmonton's first plus Ceci for Kuzmenko.

I dunno, if its one of the respiratory viruses thats been going around, this makes perfect sense to me. He's likely through the contagious part, and is practicing with the team, but i bet its still kicking the crap out of his lungs and energy. I know several people that have battled respiratory viruses lately and its been over a month of coughing and shortness of breath, especially during physical activity, and thats long after a round of antibiotics.
Just a guess.

If he is dealing with a major virus why would they have him around the team everyday?

I recently went through a virus that lasted over a month - maybe the nastiest virus I have ever experienced. Energy level was almost zero
