Vegas is plummeting as well.

Home ice for the stink is looking feasible.

The Preds drive me nuts and have for years. Despite usually having a mediocre team they always find a way to either make the dance or get damn close.

When the Flames do that, it's called the mushy middle

Everything just seems to be coming up roses for those losers:

Baby-soft schedule

Favourable reffing

No significant injuries at all so far.

Timely slumps from many of the top teams in the west right when the Oilers are in the midst of another string of games against non-playoff teams.

This is the darkest timeline.

What was that with hat tricks happening in games that ended with a 5-1 score on Sat. night?

Kyle Palmeri gets the natural hat trick in the 1st period as the Islanders crushed the Bruins. The Isles are just 5 and 6 points back of the 6th to 8th place teams in the eastern conf. They also have games in hand on those teams.

Cody Glasss scores a hat trick in the Predators impressive win over the Avs. Saros gets an assist on Novak's PPG.

The Sabres totally embarrassed the Knights by scoring 4 goals in the 3rd period to win 7-2. The Knights PP was brutal as Cozens scored 2 SHGs! The Sabres have reappeared on the radar as they are 9 points back of the 8th place Flyers. It is a long shot, but, kind of surprised that aren't further back.

The Jets were able to fly through the hurricane after being down 3-0 heading into the 3rd period. The Jets scored 5 goals in the final period to win 5-3, Niedereitter with 2 goals.

Bobrovsky with the 21 save shutout and Sam Reinhart has 42 goals on the season as the Panthers won 4-0 in Detroit. The Panthers are now 1st overall, 2 points up on the Rangers and Bruins.
