If Thornton comes back tonight, the Oilers are screwed. Hell, even if he doesn't, they're in for another tough game. After limping down the stretch, the Sharks appeared to find their groove in game 1 and looked very much like the team that went to the Final last year. Never underestimate a deep veteran team who knows how to win when it matters.

I need an Oilers loss tonight. It'll soften the blow of the Flames loss last night to be honest.

I want to see a rain storm of orange jerseys, and children crying as their stoic fathers tell them that its ok, football season will be here soon and the Eskimos are still a great . . . oh crap
I want to see a parade of enormously fat women flipping the bird at the Oilers ownership box on the way out of the rink.
I want to see work crews jackhammering the ice in Roger's arena or using dynamite.
I want to see McDavid giving frustrated stink eyes at the refs as he doesn't get his way.

Theres no need for that honestly.
The Oilers lost Home Ice. Thats huge. The Flames havent. Losing game 1 sucked for us, but its a lot less important than the Oilers loss...even though it hurts more.

Well, playoff history would indicate... oh wait.
Who knows. Maybe if they don't get outshot 2.5 to 1 on home ice this time.

Well we are basically in the same spot as the Oilers. Down 1 to zero with 3 home games left. But you're right, Flames loss hurts more. My care meter is a whole lot higher for the Flames.

Disagree, for now, the Oilers are in a worse spot heading into game 2 of their series. They are endanger of dropping down 2-0 while having already played their first two home games. While going down 2-0 in any fashion is far from good, being down 2-0 in a series but coming home is a lot more palatable than being down 2-0 and hitting the road. Completely agree on the care meter part mind you.

Tomato tomato. (Those were pronounced differently)
Oilers were thoroughly outplayed last game. They need to be orders of magnitude better tonight if they want to have a chance to win. I don't see it happening.

What?
Was he talking about McDavid's line?
Because I dont see what Backlund's line has to do with Edmonton's series against San Jose.
What am I missing?
