I would love to taste Sabans tears right now. Awesome finish.

My first college football love were the Irish. Even though I now cheer for Alabama I don't think I've ever been as mad as I was watching Notre Dame get screwed out of that win. God I hate Jameis Winston.

Nice for Clemson but how is that pick on the TD not a penalty?

Even worse was the total screw up on the PI call the play before. It was incorrectly placed on the 2 yard line because the idiot ref said the receiver was in the end zone even though he was well outside.

I've gotten to the point where I don't even care if it takes putting ads on jerseys to shorten games. If less commercials means lower TV deals, and that's how they gotta make up the money, fine. This was a good game no doubt, but it could have been done an hour faster at the very least.

They've had the #1 ranked recruiting class the last 5 years and will most likely finish #1 this year. Unfortunately, they're not going away anytime soon unless Saban retires.
Michigan, tOSU, USC and Georgia will be very good next year and could challenge them but I'd be shocked if Bama isn't back in the NCG again.

Wasn't the spot of the penalty the 2 yard line anyway?

In college ball it is a 15 yard penalty not spot of the foul. Would have been half the distance to the goal.
Would have put the ball at the 5 or so but still. Those extra yards may have mattered.

See this thinking going around and it makes sense, but Alabama should have intentionally committed pass interference again to force the FG. Because it's at the 2 and not the 1, odds are pretty high Clemson would kick the FG. Tough to maybe think that in the moment, but it would have forced OT I think.

Unfortunately Clemson beat them to the punch and pulled some PI of their own to win the game.

If the d back goes inside instead of outside he potentially shuts down the pass. Took a bad path IMO.
Also could have sold it as a pick more.

DeShaun Watson actually grew up in a home that was donated to his single mother by Warrick Dunn. If you aren't aware of Dunn's backstory with regards to donating houses to single mothers, you should go read it. He really is one of the great human beings that sports has ever seen. DeShaun is in the black sweatshirt on the right.

I think at the 1, Clemson would have gone for it with the Watson QB sneak.
The ball was already at the 2 so more penalties put it on the 1 i think

PI in the endzone is spotted at the 2 every time. Wouldn't change even if they committed PI 99 times in a row, so long as it occurred in the end zone. NFL would be different, you'd keep getting half the distance. But in college it keeps reverting to the 2. Now in this scenario they'd only have to commit PI once because it drains the clock to one or two seconds, and then Clemson either goes for the win, or plays for OT. But you'd need a coach really on the ball to know that, and signal that to his team or call timeout. I mean I didn't think of it right away, only when I saw people pointing it out did it make sense.

He's done. Last game will be a basketball game next Tuesday. Maybe he's Joe Mixon's new agent?
