Default Suggestions for PDF printer software?

I'm looking for suggestions for PDF software.

I was using Ecopy on my old PC, but it was a evaluation copy, and I can't seem to get it to work on my new Windows 7 machine. I can download another evaluation copy from Ecopy, but it expires in 45 days...and looks like they fixed the bug that allowed it to continue to work pat the 45 days, like on my old XP machine .

Any suggestions of what I could download or buy? Basically I want it so I can choose the software, like a printer, and have the option of printing my documents to digital PDF, rather than physical paper.

I'm sure there is plenty of stuff out there, but I don't know where to look first.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers.

I'm trying my best to NOT have to buy a copy of MS Office with this new PC. So far Google Docs seems to be awesome.

I can print as a PDF from Google Docs, but let's say I'm on a web page and want to print as a PDF...I can't.

I'm actually going to run with this. If I need to edit a PDF I can put it into Google Docs and do my thing from there. Then print it as a PDF.

Thanks for the help, Rico!

If that one doesn't work for you, you can try PDF Creator: http://www.pdfforge.org/

I've used it for years and it works great.

We used to use cutepdf at work before we upgraded to Word 2010. FWIW.

People found it easy enough to use and it seemed to convert things a lot more error free than even Adobe Acrobat

I use PrimoPDF when I don't feel like being a pirate.

On my work machine, I use Adobe Acrobat X (when I do feel like a pirate)
