So is it legit to think I can capture all of the Pokemon (excluding the regional specific) just by playing in Calgary without spoofing my GPS or using any hacks?

^ There should be no reason why you can't catch them all.
I'm not in Calgary, but have only 4 left to catch (of those that have been released - Dragonite, Omastar, Machamp and Chansey), so Pokedex at 138. I have not spent a dime on the game, but consistently have 6 to 10 Pokémon in gyms and collect daily. The only Pokémon I have hatched and not caught is Tangella. That said, I do use a scanner and or maps that show Pokémon near me and/or spawn locations - so I play in violation of Niantic TOS, and some may consider it 'cheating'.

Hey Eldrick - you're in Mtl, right? Where do you spend your time playing it here? I've taken a couple weeks off to move, but now that I'm all set up (kinda) headed out this weekend!

Looks like the new update is for niantics benefit. Most likely makes it easier for them to know if your cheating or not.

The new update basically just tells you when you caught it and where. (Ex- Calgary, Alberta, and today's date.)

Where are people finding Porygon's I've only ever seen one show up, and it was at Chinook.

From what I've seen and heard, it sounds like there maybe a Porygon nest or spawning usually between Sunridge mall and the Cineplex Theater.

I haven't gone there myself to catch one yet but I may try within the next couple days.

Am on South shore, so we actually spend a lot of time playing in Saint Lambert and Longueuil. On the island we often wander around the old port, and anywhere pretty much the entire length of St Catherine from the old Forum to University. We usually scope out a new restaurant or pub, and then go play in the area around it. Chansey dropped from a lured Pokestop tonight when we were at Cabot Square (across from forum), so now only Omastar and Dragonite left to complete Pokedex. There is an Excellent live map for large parts of Quebec - best of any maps I have seen anywhere - that also tracks spawn locations over last 24 hours, so if you are looking anything specific, it will probably help.

That's great! Thanks! Old Port and St Catherines it is. Can't believe how many pokestops there are here. And the gyms around me have some crazy pokemon on em. I'm in the Plateau, which has a lot of stops, but doesn't seem the greatest for rares.

Would love to watch a few Flames games with a fellow fan or fans. Really looking forward to having access to the Bell Centre this year - such a great place to watch hockey even if the best team only comes once a season.

I caught 2 back to back around the rose and crown
