An oldie but a goodie from the Beastie Boys. Recorded live starting from the bottom of the 7th Ave subway station then down 53rd St and into the Ed Sullivan Theatre. Remember a time before camera phones were ubiquitous?

TBS is sticking with Conan O’Brien until 2022

I'd like to see him move back to NYC though.

Any specific reason, trout? I believe some thought he'd want to move back after being let go from the Tonight Show but he claimed that he had the choice but didn't want to as he grew to like LA.

I think I read that over 100 people associated with Conan's show in NYC had made the move to Los Angeles and many had bought homes and settled in. So it would have been difficult to make the move back to NYC. Also, Conan may be a big star on TBS but compared to the major networks, his audience is relatively tiny. So being in Los Angeles and taping on the Warner Bros. lot gave them convenient access to potential guests, who may not otherwise want to expend much effort to appear on a TBS talk show. Any regular viewers will know Conan gets lots of guests who are shooting nearby on the same lot.

Anyone know when Colbert returns with new episodes?

I think all the late shows are off until after Labour Day.

How has the Daily Show been since Noah took over? I haven't really watched because I figured there's no way anyone could come close to Jon Stewart.

Pretty mediocre. I like Noah, and he has some really good correspondents. Hasan Minaj, Jordan Klepper, Roy Wood Jr and and Ronny Chieng are all great.

I think the issue with Noah himself is he doesn't have the history with the country to really seem that visceral about anything, which was one of Stewarts best parts. When he really went after something, he went at it hard. Noah kind of just makes the jokes but you can really feel that he doesn't/hasn't lived it. He feels more like a news anchor that makes jokes than a "voice" like Stewart was and like Colbert and Oliver have become.

He is definitely no Stewart but I've come to really enjoy the show. He is a bit less US-centric than Stewart because Noah will talk about news from other countries, especially news from the continent of Africa. His take on dictators trying to hold onto power (like in the Republic of Congo) is funny especially when he compares their actions to those of Trump. I also like that his guests skew heavily towards entertainers and activists representing or speaking about black culture. I've never heard of many of his guests so it's been great to hear these different perspectives on late night.

I think one has to approach Noah on his own terms because if you are expecting a black Jon Stewart, you will be disappointed.

Yeah, and the thing is we don't need a Jon Stewart to host the Daily Show. That area is covered by Oliver and Colbert and the audience knows where to find it.

Maybe it's because I personally can't connect as much with Noah as I could with Stewart more than anything.

Kimmel with a great interview with Howard Stern. Well it's mostly just a rant from Stern.

Nathan Fielder proves once again he is a terrible talk show guest.
