Supposedly it used to be hugely popular in Australia 15-20 years ago but now the only people I see inline skating are the occasional random weirdos and 8 year old girls. I tried to bring it back when I moved here but obviously wasn't cool enough. Hopefully the trend is cyclical and it comes back into style in a few years however.

This year I have seen a lot more people roller-blading around Henderson Lake in Lethbridge than I remember seeing over the past couple of years. I'm thinking of dusting off mine and making sure my kids have skates that fit and making it a once or twice a week thing to do.
I have seen a small selection of in-lines for sale at Source for Spors and Sport Chek here in Lethbridge so there should be some at the locations in Calgary too. I think Canadian Tire still sells in-lines, no?
