Yeah I don't know if that falls on him but that new logo was horribly implemented. Still I believe the CFL governors are the main issue with the league as they like to hire "yes" men which sucks as the league needs people with vision running it not the same old boys club that likes to keep salaries secret and not enforce the rules for violating league policy. Their backwards thinking will always be an obstacle in the league moving forward.

But even that he failed at. The entire extra roster players for cash fiasco is definitely one of he reasons he's gone.

I actually can't think of anything he was involved in that he didn't handle poorly.

Also I would never retire off of how much money I was getting paid. There is a lot more to life to me than just money.

They had a 2nd roster getting housed and paid under the table and they got fined $60k as well as a salary cap reduction of $26k lol. In any other professional sport they would have had to forfeit all their draft picks as well as pay massive fines. I don't blame Orridge too much as the CFL commissioner is almost powerless.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have released Justin Cox after he was charged with assault causing bodily harm stemming from an alleged incident of domestic violence.

According to Regina police, officers were dispatched last Sunday after receiving a complaint and found a 23-year-old woman with “injuries consistent with a physical assault.” After two days of investigation and after making a “number of attempts to contact and locate the suspect,” police say the 24-year-old Cox was taken into custody without incident.

Police says the investigation is continuing.

Great move by the league. The league has really put a lot of effort into various anti-abuse/bullying initiatives in the last few years so it is great to see them back that up with actions

Based on additional audit and CFL By-Laws governance activities conducted by the League, the following fines have been levied:

The Saskatchewan Roughriders Football Club have been fined $31,500 for two CFL By-Laws violations which included players attending practice while on the CFL suspension list and violations related to the recruitment of a junior player.
The CFL has also fined Chris Jones $5,000 for meeting with Johnny Manziel’s publicist, which constitutes tampering and is in violation of CFL By-Laws. Based on evidence to date, there is nothing that concludes that Saskatchewan held any workouts involving Mr. Manziel.
The BC Lions Football Club have been fined $2,500 for violating the CFL By-Laws as it relates to matters concerning the contract of Adam Bighill.
