Somebody tweeted that Buffalo was out. Think it might have been McKenzie. Plus I read on SabreSpace (take it for what you will) that apparently O'Connor and Sabres new signing Rodrigues don't get along.

BTW the reason Russo missed half the 2013-2014 season was he was suspended due to academic reasons (i.e. his grades weren't good enough by NCAA standards)

After looking into it, you can probably put Chicago as the favourite again.

If they are in mix for Reilly, I don't see why they wouldn't be in the mix for Russo. They might not be able to sign both, but they probably can get one of them.

Russo is from the Chicago area.

Stan Bowman has a strong connection to Notre Dame as an alumni and close ties to their hockey program.

Two of his college teammates Stephen Johns and Vince Hinistroza are already in the Chicago organization.
