Default I-Phone Help/Suggestions

I will start by saying that CP contains a ton of the information that I am looking for but as a non-tech person some of it is difficult to filter thru.

The company I work for has decided it is time to get out of the "windows 98" days and chosen me to test run an I-Phone and an I-pad along with some other software. My questions however are all in relation to the I-phone and other Apple applications.

1) I am the construction manager for a specialty contractor and spend a lot of my time managing manpower and scheduling. Obviously there are apps for everything but is there one that I could begin scheduling on, if so what would you recommend?

2) A portion of the test will be to see if I-phones/pads are benificial at the field level. I will be using the device remotely to view drawings, check on shipments etc. Agai, any apps or other software required for this?

3) What other business related apps do you find useful and why?

Thanks in advance!

Done and done:

http://www.omnigroup.com/products/omniplan-ipad/

Cannot recommend their products enough, especially if you're going to end up also using a Mac, since they have Mac versions of each of their apps.

OmniOutliner, OmniFocus, and Omnigraffle are all superb products.
