Good thing Ference got in the way or Draisaitl would have done the knee slide from one end to the other.

I see German Gretzky has his overzealous celebration down pat.

6-3 ... obviously an easy win. All is right in Oilerland.

So who actually has the worst goaltending, Carolina, Edmonton, or Winnipeg? It looked like Khudobin was going to be a decent goalie after his time in Boston and last year in Carolina, but he's been awful this year (despite the lack of defensive help). It's hard to believe one of these three didn't offer Hiller a longer term with how awful they are; there isn't a goalie capable of starting 40 games among them.

Oilers win (lose?) the McDavid bowl!

Wow, Eakins doesn't even look happy when the Oilers score. Maybe he was planning on being fired by now and is mad that he has to keep living up there until they go on another big losing skid...Which should start whenever they start playing against Western Conference teams again.

Extra bonus is that Draisaitl scored so it probably means he's staying up to be in over his head all season.

Yeah, I was getting worried that they might do the smart thing and send him back to junior if he didn't score. Now that he has a goal, he should be locked in as the #2 centre for the rest of the year. One more game before they have to make the decision.

Folks I am very comfortable opining that Edmonton and Carolina, alongside Florida and Buffalo will pick well ahead of Calgary....if the lottery odds stays on cue.

Yeah, the only way the Flames are picking higher than fifth is either with a lottery win or multiple major injuries.

I think we're 7-10 when the season shakes out.

Not at all, in fact I moved on once he signed in Boston. Not that it means much in the grand scheme of things but to deny the deal with Boston and then sign there after your PITT experiment failed kind of ground my gears.

That and cheering for that Boston team because Iggy was on it was like putting medicine in a lump of #### instead of a bowl of ice cream. You gotta swallow it ... but dear god it's awful

I like Iggy. Most posters wanted to run him out of town. All the talk about the country club atmosphere. Insistence that he was floating, when in Boston and even in Colorado you saw a darn good two way game. The guy is a class act, had a no trade, and maybe wanted to put together the golden goal combo with Sid. Who saw Sid taking a puck in the face right off the hop?

I hope Iggy gets 30 again and unless he is playing the Flames finds success.

* But yeah, Lucic is not the kind of guy I can cheer for

Edit: btw Colorado has only 5 players above water in plus minus and Iggy leads the team in scoring and plus minus
