That first game winner celebration of Monahan's is a terrible photo. Lol it needs to stop getting recycled.
Also have to say that tonight shows exactly why we can't compete for a top pick this year. Carolina just plays like a lifeless corpse, which is the only way you're gonna get into McEichel territory (unfortunately). If those two have to go somewhere not named Calgary, though, I wouldn't mind one going to the 'Canes, which will have very little effect on us in the long run.

I don't want to take anything away from our guys. They showed a lot of creativity and were making some great passes.
But holy crap does Carolina suck. Absolutely no intensity and just mailed it in. I know they aren't the most talented team, but they looked like they didn't even want to be there.

The next 8 are: Washington x 2, Montreal x 2, Nashville, Tampa, Florida, Carolina. Whilst you'd think we should be able to beat the latter 2, the other 6 are going to be very tough. Might well be looking at a next 8 record of 2-6-0, or something similar. If we get any more than 2 wins out of that lot, I'd be ecstatic.
