This thread is hilarious. The first few people who commented clearly didn't read the article, then the obligatory Leaf fan bashing. Then the boo-hoos for saying something bad (yes so true) about the Flames.

You guys know that Sean McIndoe is "Down Goes Brown" right? Yes, he is a Leafs fan, but he gets it. He makes fun of them as much or more than anyone.

Personally, I find him hilarious.

(I also didn't get why Shanny stayed in Hartford though)

Red Wings won the Cup in 1995 because Devils didn't have Niedermayer. Having won the Cup then, Detroit didn't feel the pressure to acquire a player like Shanahan in 1997. With no takers, Shanahan eventually rescinds his trade demand in Hartford.
