Probably exactly that you think . . .

I saw a bunch of the Japanese ads for the Senran series in person last week.

If you wanted an NES Classic, you're SOL.

I'd say discontinuing the Mini has almost everything to do with pirating and emulation. Nintendo will cut off their nose to spite their face in that area.

The NES Classic was about doing a limited run of a product they could make money on, while also making people aware of "Nintendo" again just prior to the launch of the Switch.

Latest BotW patch says "adjustments have been made to make for a more pleasant gaming experience."

Which apparently means patching out my method of harvesting arrows from mounted bokoblins.

So the question is who is the gaming experience more pleasant for? Bokoblins?

When you can't collect more arrows, save the game and then reload....more arrows.

Switch is the fastest selling console for Nintendo in it's first launch month. Zelda has over 100% attach rate apparently, lol. Keeping sealed collector's editions!

Finally finished the divine beast Ruta and Waterblight Ganon. Only had 4 hearts so it wasn't easy. Gotta take a break for a bit now.

I had 5 hearts at that point and I didn't find Waterblight too tough. It's the slowest moving boss by a lot, and I made sure to cook lots of recovery food before entering the divine beast. Your biggest concern is running out of arrows!

I managed to locate an elusive pair of red joy cons today at EB Games. I know that they are called "neon red", but holy smokes these things are bright. Much brighter than the pictures online and on the box. They are more like an orange/pink neon.

Anyone want these things before I return them? Still unused with original packaging. Yours for $100. Seems to be no other sets on Amazon or Bestbuy, Walmart, EB in Calgary.

I guess I didn't have my TV volume turned up high enough playing Breath of the Wild, because I'm listening to the soundtrack and many songs have way more depth and complexity than I remember hearing - The shrine music and Kakariko are the immediately noticeable ones to me. It's good stuff!

Has anyone used a non-Nintendo power source to charge or play the Switch? I'm thinking ahead to summer travels, and the Switch will likely be coming with us. I'd like to keep the wall wart and dock at home.

The AC adapter that comes with the Switch is 15v/2.6A/39w. From what I have read, much of that power is used for the higher resolution when playing docked and powering the dock's USB ports.

My handy little 4-port USB charger (Amazon link) delivers 2.4A per port, but at 5 volts instead of 15, and works great for phones, tablets, and other USB devices. I have little doubt that this will charge my Switch, although it seems that it may not provide enough juice to charge and play at the same time. That's fine - my sessions are never going to exceed a charge.

Are there any precautions, considerations, or recommendations about using my 5 volt charger? Is it safe for the battery and device? Aside from a slower charging rate, are there any downsides? I don't have a USB-C cable yet to test as I have no other USB-C devices.
