Default vBulletin Issue

I have no issues on CP and it uses vBulletin. On another site, same software, although I'm not sure about the version, and the go to first new post option simply is erratic. It seems to work some days and other days not at all. I can use the mark forum read, someone posts something in a thread in that forum, I go back, click Go to First New Post and it takes me right back to the same post I started at earlier. Regardless of me passing that point in the thread and regardless of me using the mark forum read option.

Arrrghhhh...anyone have any ideas? I have no issues on CP or other forums I visit. Using FF...help...

I've had problems with this before, and clearing my cookies seemed to fix it. Some sites are just weird when it comes to "remembering" stuff.

I've had an issue like this on another site too. The go to first new post button would always take me to the 2nd last post of the last page. Every time. It became so annoying that I stopped visiting said forum.

Forgot about this thread. Thanks for the responses guys. I've cleared out cookies and tried everything I can think of. The site in question doesn't know why it's happening either. I like the site and don't want to stop visiting, but man it is annoying.

Sounds like an issue with their database, not your browser.

It would be interesting to see if the behavior persisted if you created a new account.
