never played starcraft.... played war craft I, and a bit of war craft II, eons ago.

Heard a lot of good stuff, but is it worth diving in at this point?!?

yes. I'm not a huge gamer like some people on here, but Starcraft is one of my top 3 favourite games ever, along with Diablo 2. 10/10 is truly an understatement for the calibre of the game.

If you go to best buy, the original + expansion is only $25.

ya i'm not a gamer at all. Only own an xbox for a few sports games i enjoy.

based on your statement, are u suggestign i outta buy the first iteration of the game before diving into part II?

yes, just to get familiar with things and what it's all about, the 2nd one is just a continuation of the first one's story lines as far as I know. Even though the first one was made in 98' I think, it's still very good.

My understanding was you don't need to play campaign in order to be good at online play... you play starcraft for the multiplayer don't you? I don't really play but that's what I heard.
