I think we actually got a big hint he is not with the saviours. He came over the radio and said some stuff, including that the out buildings were going to be searched. I think he may have seen the ladies, and was saying it explicitly to warn them that they need to get out. I don't know why else the writers would have included that.

Because that was the whole reason they decided to go inside rather than stay in the building.

I think he simply wants no part of being on the run and he's looking out for himself at this point. He will be Negan until a better option presents itself. It's no secret Eugene is a coward but I kind of agree with what he did. Really there's no upside for him being broken out. He's got a gravy position watching a wall while getting propped up in the Saviors hierarchy. He doesn't have to do any of the dirty work and collect food or harm any of the other groups and can simply do his job and eat and sleep well. If he was to be broken out he would always be on the run and he would probably get executed if caught and he doesn't know that the groups are working together, planning an assault on the Saviors so as far as he knows it's going to be like this for a while so why trade that in to be on the run and continually fearful for your life?

Agreed, at that point he had no information of what was going on, and everything to loose.

It's a see-through lens cap that primarily provides dust protection with no real loss to the image viewed through the scope. It also aids the shooter in reading mirage. It almost looks like a Swarovski cover but I don't think it is. These covers can reduce glare on sunny days.

As for reducing the risk of reflection, undercoverbrother pointed out the major flaw in this scene and that is a shooter will lay back in the shadows. To do that, though, the ladies will need to build a platform from which to lie prone. Ideally, though, you would want to find a loophole to shoot through instead of the window. The window is an obvious target for the other side's spotters.

But, hey, it's a TV trope so you can't expect much and I certainly don't. However, more detail on the shooter's setup would have been preferable to a scene about tying knots.

The people they're targeting aren't exactly world class either. Negan looks like he has about 50 or so fighters in his army that have about as much military knowledge as your average street thug.

The sniper strategy could actually be a pretty great way to weaken if not wipe out Negan's forces. It seems like a few teams of snipers could easily take out a couple dozen of Negan's men.

No, I don't think it was Gregory since he just asked for a ride somewhere. I think it is either that they are spread out and saw something, one or more of the Scavengers are actually Saviors or he was just trying to trick Sasha into telling him something.

So we have the Garbage Pale people, Alexandria, some Hilltop residents, and the Kingdom look like they'll be joining the fight late/as it's going on. Could be the x-factor in all of this I think.

Negan has Sasha as hostage. Rick has Dwight for information, but I don't know what Dwight could share to help him in the fight as the Saviours are going to them.

I smell a few deaths coming. I could see the tiger ####ing #### up on the saviours side and Negan taking out someone as demonstration again. But he seems to like Sasha so I think he wants to keep her around. I dunno too many different things could happen. At least it'll be a good finale. A cliffhanger seems all but certain.

I really want to see Carol go on a killing spree and scare the crap out of Negan with her lethal rage side.

The biggest disappointment was we hear reference to Sahsa's escapades the night before, but didn't actually get to see any of it,. That felt kinda cheep. The rest of the episode was one of the better ones this season.
